Description
TCA peel is a skin treatment used to treat skin discolourations, scarring, and wrinkles. These peels get their name from trichloroacetic acid (TCA), which is used to clear away dead skin cells to reveal the newer and smoother skin layers below. TCA helps to improving skin texture, and discoloration caused by sun damage. TCA helps remove areas of hyperpigmentation; deeply cleaning clogged pores. TCA can be used to help lighten and remove medium to deep scars while helping pores appear smaller.
15% TCA (Step 1) is a light intensity peel, which is great for beginners and experienced peel users who want no downtime period, the peel is superficial and you should expect little to no flaking because it penetrates the top layer of the skin, so your skin will be peeling but wont be visible to the naked eye.
Results seen within 4-5 treatments

Very effective and resulted in brighter, glowing skin after the peeling process was complete. I used “2” layers which maybe I shouldn’t have this being my first home peel. Please allow yourself time to peel as the peeling commenced for me around the 3rd day – I did peel a lot ( actual peeling and not flaking) and I wasn’t prepared for the visual aspect ( not pretty at all). The peeling process lasts about a week around various parts of your face and carries on even when you think it has stopped. Keep moisturising your skin to help it along – I used argan oil and regular vaseline on top, but looking back this was maybe too greasy and heavy. I have bought the “Eucerin Aquaphor” to use on my next peel. Be prepared for “skin purging” as well on the areas you generally break out ( I didn’t expect this and thought that the peel had made my skin worse – this happened about 2 weeks after my peel) Treat your skin gently and don’t use any harsh actives on the breakout and it should heal in about a week. I planned to do my 2nd peel around the 4 week interval frequency but listen to your skin – I still haven’t done my 2nd peel and will probable give my skin another week to properly heal before I plan another peel. I am really excited now that I better understand the time lines around using the peel. The results are amazing but again, rather be cautious and work with your own skin and the instructions provided by “Supple Skin.”
